Central Vermont's Favorite Bakery has moved to the Blanchard Block in Barre

Jun 29, 2020 12:17PM ● By Gabriella Varla

Central Vermont’s favorite bakery Delicate Decadence moves to Blanchard Block.

Ten years ago, Baker Tim Bolton opened his bakery, Delicate Decadence and quickly made his way to the top of the list as one of Central Vermont’s favorite bakeries. The South Carolina transplant made a name for himself dishing up European-inspired pastries and cafe-style lunches with locally sourced ingredients all served with a hometown feel. Now, the local favorite is settling into its new home on the historic Blanchard Block building on 14 North Main Street in Barre, VT.

Bolton and crew are excited to get back to business with a fun, fresh face opening their doors right along with the regulations of the state. Delicate Decandence’s new space offers an open-space, industrial-sized kitchen where you can watch the masters at work and unique artwork on the wall by local artists.

Dreamy cakes for any occasion, decadent sweets, crusty breads, and indulgent quiche remain the main events along with their seasonally inspired cafe menu, available in-house and for to-go family meals. Out-of-town visitors take heed, Delicate Decadence serves a quality cup of locally roasted coffee and is one of the few places in Vermont to get a well-made bagel.

Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm. Saturday 8am-2pm and Sunday by appointment only. For more information, visit their website or keep up with them on Facebook or Instagram.
