Loose, harmonic articulation has been his trademark style since his first release, Bright Size Life, in 1975. At the Flynn, Metheny rhapsodizes with a quartet featuring Antonio Sanchez—composer of the Birdman soundtrack—on drums, rounded off by 2014 Burlington Discover Jazz Festival artist Linda May Han Oh on bass and Gwilym Simcock at the piano.
