The One-Night Stand: A Single-Evening Clinic in Bicycle Care
Gain a basic understanding of your bike and how to care for it! Learn basic bike anatomy, how to fix a flat tire, how to maintain your drivetrain, and more.
Having a basic understanding of your bike and knowing how to care for it is empowering! The One-Night Stand at Old Spokes Home will cause neither regret nor shame; instead, it will help you stay safer, keep your bike running longer, and give you confidence in either getting what you need at the bike shop or figuring out how to deal with it on your own.
In addition to going over the anatomy and basic mechanics of a bike, you will learn how to:
- Remove and reinstall your wheels
- Fix a flat tire
- Clean and lubricate your drivetrain
- Perform a safety check on your bike
...And more!
All classes will be from 6-8pm in the Old Spokes Home Community Workshop at 664 Riverside Ave in Burlington. Bike stands, tools, and supplies will be provided. Students are encouraged to 'BYOB' (Bring Your Own Bike), but class bikes can also be provided if needed.
All participants will receive 20% off a tool purchase in our retail shop.
